Remember Him
Aug 2, 2026 • Minister Charles Burrows II
In this sermon, we examine why Jesus commanded His disciples to remember him. Because human beings are naturally prone to forget, even the truth of the Cross can gradually lose its weight and influence in our hearts. Through Scripture, we see that forgetting what God has done leads to spiritual drift, weakened devotion, and a loss of our first love. Communion is Christ’s appointed act of intentional remembrance, calling the Church back again and again to His broken body, His shed blood, and the great cost of our salvation.
